Runnymede Borough Council refused a Prior Approval application under Class A of Part 20 of Schedule 2 of the GPDO. The scheme for a fourth floor to an existing three storey block of flats in the centre of Englefield Green, Surrey would provide an additional two flats. The Council refused to grant prior approval due to the external appearance of the building.

The Planning Inspector agreed with our Appeal Statement, stating “The development would … have a limited effect on character and appearance, and its contribution to the local area would remain positive”.
