Building of Townscape Merit (BTM) – We prepared a Planning and Heritage Statement to successfully secure planning permission for a garage conversion with roof lights, and the replacement of the front and rear windows in the main home. The Council’s Urban Design Officer objected to the window replacement and the conversion of the garage. The Planning Officer agreed with our statement that, when viewed in the context of the neighbouring additions, the proposed development and changes to the fenestration would not harm the character and appearance of the surrounding conservation area.
